① Greeting Teacher

A: 先生、ご無沙汰してます。
Sensei, gobusata shitemasu.
A: Sensei, it’s been a while.

B: あ、山田君。最近どうですか？
A, Yamada-kun. Saikin dō desu ka?
B: Oh, Yamada. How have you been lately?

A: ええ、なんとかやってます。
Ee, nantoka yattemasu.
A: I’m managing somehow.

② Hospital Visit

A: 田中さん、カゼをこじらせて入院したそうですよ。
Tanaka-san, kaze o kojirasete nyūin shita sō desu yo.
A: I heard Tanaka caught a cold and was hospitalized.

B: えっ、じゃ、お見舞いに行かなくちゃ。
Eh, ja, omimai ni ikanakucha.
B: What? Then we need to visit him.

A: 行くなら一緒に行きませんか？
Iku nara issho ni ikimasen ka?
